Profile: Cero Architecture

Cero Architecture are a creative and innovative Architectural Technologists practice based in Sheffield, Yorkshire, UK. We are members of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists

As established architectural designers with over 10 years experience, Ben Winslade and his team offer professional architectural services in both new build and conversion / extension in conjunction with regeneration projects in a wide range of sectors. We have experience in Commercial, Industrial, Residential (including sustainable homes and social housing), Education, Healthcare, Hotels and Residential/Nursing Care buildings.

In implementing our expertise and design knowledge into construction projects we aim to provide quality, affordable & innovative solutions utilising modern & traditional technology, construction techniques and building materials to achieve energy efficient structures which maximise the potential of available land and space within.

Services we provide include master planning, feasibility studies, schematic design, planning permission and building regulations applications, detail design, implementation and management of projects on site. The option of virtual 3D CAD visualisations is available at all stages.

We are aware that socially and economically the world is changing rapidly and aspiring to become more sustainable and eco friendly. Government policies are driving British designers to achieve carbon free homes by 2016 with the introduction of a code for sustainability. Eco homes are the future of not only green homes but the all future housing & residential developments and subsequently all types of development.

We believe the integration of sustainable materials and construction methods can achieve zero carbon homes and that sustainable developments are not a dream but reality with the added advantage that council planning authorities appear to look very favourably on planning applications for ‘green’ developments.
